Source of the Ergolz

The river Ergolz runs from the heights of the Jura Mountains to the River Rhine. As it enters the Rhine it passes the remains of the Roman city of Augusta Raurica. At some point I got myself interested in the other end of the River Ergolz. The source is located at the Schafmatt, a hillside of the Geissflue Mountain (962 m high). A panoramic view of the Schafmatt (115 kB) is provided.
